The fall season is quickly approaching here in the Triangle and the weather lately is certainly showing it! I think we are all ready for a little change since we have been stuck in quarantine for so long and the new season is the most exciting thing happening right now so you should make the most of it!
I have been wanting to investigate what Fall events would be taking place during COVID and figured I might as well research it and let you all know too! For some wholesome fun with the whole family, Pullen Park will be hosting a Scarecrow Festival & Pumpkin Patch Bash on October 3rd! That same weekend, there will be a Pop-Up Fall Photo Session at Lake Johnson Park on the 3rd and 4th. The weekend after, take a trip to Pace Family Farms in Clayton to join in on some pumpkin painting! They will be holding a pumpkin painting session on October 10th that would be fun for all ages.
Aside from actual events, the State Farmers Market has pumpkins for sale all season long and you could even make it a whole day by picking up some pumpkins and then enjoying a meal at the farmers market restaurant. I know I will be making a trip here this fall season (maybe more than one) and it will make these times we are in feel a little more normal.
If you are looking for something scarier closer to Halloween time, I recommend checking out Panic Point. They will be at a limited capacity and following COVID-19 guidelines, but I am sure the scares will be just the same! They will open with four trails on September 25th and the cost is between $27.50-$35. Put yourself in the Halloween spirit by planning a trip here!
Hopefully, you and your family/friends can enjoy some of these activities and make the most out of Fall this year despite what we are experiencing. It will be different, but we might as well all try and have some fun this season.
